Evert Vedung is Emeritus University Professor of Political Science, especially Housing Policy, at Uppsala University (Sweden) since 2005 and Visiting Professor at Linnaeus University in Växjö since 2011. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Vienna, Copenhagen University, University of Southern Denmark, Helsinki University and Kyung Hee University in Seoul. Vedung was a Ford Foundation Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government (1975-1976) and a visiting scholar at LBJ School of Public Affairs at University of Texas at Austin. His subject areas are implementation, policy instruments and evaluation of public policy (esp. urban, environmental and energy policy), EU regional and innovation policy, cross-sectoral initiatives, and social work. His best known works include Public Policy and Program Evaluation (1997), Carrots, Sticks and Sermons (1998), and Four Waves of Evaluation Diffusion (2010).
